Brand Guidelines

Well Made Vintage is a second-hand retail business in Muncie, Indiana who has now branched out to Indianapolis and Chicago. It began as two college students decided to hold a pop-up shop in 2023 which had incredible success and sparked the idea for a store front. The establishment specializes in apparel and memorabilia from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

Due to being a newly established business, Well Made Vintage needed a brand identity that would bring thrifters, experienced or new to the hobby to their door.

Identity Sketches

Sketches showcasing the brainstorming of the brand identity for Well Made Vintage.

The concept of thrifting something is to reuse something second-hand rather than buying brand new. Ideas of this can be seen from the sketches. Another direction was to use a friendly mascot to make patrons feel comfortable and trusting the business and its practice.

Brand Mascot

A brand mascot was designed so that newer customers or familiar faces can be greeted with a friendly atmosphere.

The mascot was named “Vinny” (short for Vintage) and was created with iconic retro imagery in mind.

Brand Identity

A full identity suite was created to allow Well Made Vintage to have a wide range of usage for their brand’s look and feel.

Packaging + Merchandise

While Well Made Vintage has a few store fronts, they also had a online store. Packaging for shopping bags, tags and shipping stickers we made as well as some merchandise for loyal customers.
