Schwätzer's, a German restaurant in Seymour, Indiana, is a local business proud of their German roots which build Seymour from the ground up. They specialized in hand-crafted German cuisine and promote their heritage with nightly German classes. Seymour is often known for its annual Oktoberfest that celebrates their German traditions and heritage. Schwätzer's goal is to have an identity that captures the feeling of community, culture, and heritage year round.
Schwätzer's needed a custom-designer food truck that incorporating the feel of beer/alcohol which is large in German culture without serving it, as well as staying true to their roots. incorporating the cuisine, and creating a cohesive visual language.

The main inspiration for the brand was German folk art which would highlight the heritage the business is so proud of.

The logomark stems from one of German folklore’s mythical creatures - the Wolpertinger.
The story goes that woodland creatures came together and produced mutant offspring which led to them becoming cultural symbols.

Illustrations that mimicked cultural folk art were crafted to continue to express German traditions.
Each illustrations ties to imagery that has historical meaning to the people of Germany.
Packaging
The food truck needed custom to-go packaging and merchandise for what they offered.
These included a long to-go box for bratwursts and sandwiches, a container for sides, a to-go bag,
and a reusable beer-stein for drinks. Alcohol could not be sold but patrons could purchase one for their beverages.
Digital Menu
Schwätzer's menu consist of popular traditional german entrees, sides, and beverages.
Another feature of the menu is those who know the German can switch the language and offer. This is due to the restaurant offering German night classes as a way to promote their hertiage.
